We are working on optimizing the Silverstack products (Silverstack Offload Manager, Silverstack, Silverstack XT and Silverstack Lab) for running natively on Apple Silicon (M1).

How to Run Silverstack on Apple Silicon (M1) in the Rosetta 2 Translation Environment

You can select to “Open using Rosetta” in the application’s “Get Info” window  (context menu or via Cmd+I):

Known Issues

we list known issues in this article temporarily until the transition is completed.

  • SDI output limited with AJA devices due to AJA driver not yet supporting macOS 11 Big Sur
  • Offload from Codex VFS not available due to Codex Device Manager not yet supporting macOS 11 Big Sur
  • Some older Blackmagic devices not supported on Apple Silicon Macs:
